In July, a client approached us with a request for link-building services for their password management software website. At the time of the request, the site already had a basic link profile, and its pages were indexed in search engine results. However, the client wanted to boost the site’s visibility in organic search, strengthen its rankings for competitive keywords, and increase traffic.

Target Locations

The primary target regions for the project were English-speaking countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and English-speaking areas in Europe. This focus was chosen due to the high value of traffic from these regions, where the demand for password management software is significant. By concentrating on these markets, we aimed to attract a financially capable audience and drive higher conversions, given the strong user interest in such products.

Link-Building Goals

Our objectives included enhancing keyword visibility, increasing the number of referring domains, and ensuring steady, organic growth in backlinks. Achieving these goals would not only improve the site’s search engine rankings but also strengthen the brand's presence and recognition in the market.

Current Status Analysis

Before initiating our efforts, the site had 804 referring domains, with a history of gradual growth, indicating a successful strategy of consistent link building. This gradual increase in backlinks contributed to a natural link profile, enhancing trust from search engines. We decided to continue this “drip strategy” of link placement to sustain organic growth and further establish the site’s authority.

Execution Process

We didn't focus solely on metrics from one tool, such as Domain Rating (DR) or Authority Score (AS). Instead, we evaluated forums and websites based on traffic presence (using data from Ahrefs, Semrush, and SimilarWeb), the number of keywords they ranked for, referring domains, and the traffic origin, prioritizing platforms with U.S. traffic.
The timeline for each project was set at 25 days. During this period, we prepared websites for placements and distributed messages in a balanced way to promote organic growth.

Results After 6 Months

   

Keyword Growth: We saw a 25% increase in the number of keywords, with many climbing into the top positions.

Expanded Backlink Profile: Over 400 backlinks were posted across various platforms, significantly enhancing the backlinks profile.
